    We start at the Ramsay House and discuss the origins of Alexandria, Virginia. William Ramsay was a Scottish merchant and good friend of George Washington. He was one of the founders of Alexandria. This first stop contains one of our favorite hidden gems. Hint: It's hiding in plain sight!

    Travelers will discover where the American Revolution was born. No kidding! Twenty years before the Revolutionary War started, events were in motion that would lead to the American colonies declaring independence.

    We will pass by the Athenaeum as we walk down Prince Street and head toward Captain's Row. There is an abundance of fascinating sites along the 200 block of Prince Street. Beautiful homes that have stories dating back to the 18th century.

    One of Alexandria's classic cobblestone streets. Fun and fascinating history to include one of Alexandria's largest fires. We will discuss why it is called Captain's Row. This will be the last stop on the tour and we will take pictures and be close to great restaurants!
