Together with a local guide, you will cycle through quiet backstreets and visit temples and sacred sites connected to the Chinese zodiac. Along the way, you will see how Okinawans continue to practice worship traditions that date back to the Ryukyu Kingdom era.

Meet at our shop near Makishi Monorail Station Our shop is just a 1-minute walk from Makishi Monorail Station. After picking up your bike, our guide will give you a short safety briefing so everyone can enjoy the ride comfortably.
You will visit a temple where Kannon Bodhisattva, the guardian deity of the Ryukyu Kingdom, is enshrined. From its bright vermilion buildings, you can enjoy a beautiful view over the townscape of Shuri, while also admiring the temple’s delicate carvings and ornaments.
As we ride through a local area of Naha where traditional houses still remain, we will arrive at a temple that has preserved Okinawan Buddhist traditions for over 500 years. An ancient gate and a large banyan tree welcome visitors into its peaceful grounds.
We will stop at Okinawa’s symbolic ceremonial gate, known for its striking vermilion color and elegant design. It is a perfect spot to take a memorable photo with your bicycle.
This temple is visited by many worshippers who come to pray for good health, fertility, safe childbirth, and gratitude for everyday life. With its bright red daruma dolls and beautiful torii gates, it is one of the most visually striking stops on the tour.
After crossing the main street and passing under the monorail tracks, we will suddenly arrive at a temple with a quiet and sacred atmosphere. Beside the postwar rebuilt temple, an old Jizo statue warmly watches over visitors.
We will also visit a miraculous spring hidden deep in the forest. According to local tradition, water was discovered here after an Okinawan princess noticed waterfowl gathering nearby. Even today, the flowing spring water creates a powerful connection between nature, history, and belief.
Enjoy a thrilling downhill ride to a sacred site where generations of Ryukyu kings were laid to rest. Although it is now a peaceful park within the city, the stone gate, fresh air, and banyan trees stretching toward the sky still preserve the atmosphere of the Ryukyu Kingdom.
The tour ends at our shop where you will return your bicycle. Afterwards, please enjoy the city of Naha on your own.
