Embark on a scenic private day trip from Dubrovnik to the historic city of Split. Split is one of Croatia’s most captivating destinations, offering a unique combination of ancient heritage and modern coastal lifestyle. Travel in the comfort of a private, air-conditioned vehicle accompanied by an English-speaking driver/guide as you make your way along the breathtaking Dalmatian coastline and picturesque countryside. Discover the UNESCO-listed Diocletian’s Palace, wander through charming stone streets, visit vibrant markets, or enjoy the lively atmosphere of the Riva waterfront.
Your driver/guide will meet you at the selected location in Dubrovnik. If your location is not accessible by vehicle, the pickup point will be arranged with the agency at the nearest possible location, in accordance with local laws and regulations.
Your day starts with a personalized pickup by your knowledgeable driver/guide who will ensure a comfortable journey and provide fascinating insights about the region along the way.
Upon arrival in Split, enjoy a private walking tour of Diocletian’s Palace with local guide (if this option is selected) - or spend time exploring this UNESCO World Heritage Site independently. Wander through the world’s best-preserved monument of Roman architecture to uncover charming squares, lively markets, and unique artisan shops. Diocletian's Palace is the very soul of the city, nestled within 1,700-year-old walls. Stand in the monumental Peristyle, the palace's central square, and admire the stunning ancient architecture that surrounds you. Afterward, take a leisurely stroll along the iconic Riva Promenade. Lined with cafés, palm trees, and vibrant local life, it is the perfect spot to soak up the sun and enjoy the sea breeze. After your immersive visit, meet your driver/guide, sit back, and enjoy a comfortable journey back to Dubrovnik.
If time in Split is shortened on the way back to Dubrovnik, you can stop in Ston if you wish. Ston is a small historic town famous for its impressive medieval city walls, often called the “European Great Wall,” and its long tradition of salt production. It is also well known for fresh oysters and local seafood, making it a popular short stop on the way to Dubrovnik.
