This full-day tour is designed for travelers who want to experience two of Southern Vietnam’s most famous highlights in one convenient day, without feeling rushed. Start with the legendary Cu Chi Tunnels, where you will walk through historic wartime sites, see hidden entrances, traps, bunkers, and learn how local people lived and fought underground.
After the history-filled morning, continue to the peaceful Mekong Delta for a completely different atmosphere. Enjoy a boat trip along the river, explore small canals shaded by coconut trees, visit local workshops, taste tropical fruits and honey tea, and experience the slow rhythm of village life.
With comfortable transportation, an English-speaking guide, entrance fees, boat activities, and lunch included, this tour offers a well-balanced combination of history, culture, nature, and authentic local experiences in just one day.
Please arrive at the meeting point 10–15 minutes before departure time. The meeting point is in front of 14 Le Lai Street, Ben Thanh Ward, District 1, directly opposite 23/9 Park.
Travelers will explore the famous Cu Chi Tunnels, an extensive underground network used during the war. Your guide will explain how the tunnels were constructed and how local people lived, fought, and survived beneath the ground. Visitors can see hidden trapdoors, air vents, weapon workshops, kitchens, and reconstructed living areas. Those who want can crawl through a safe section of the tunnel to experience the underground atmosphere. The guide will also demonstrate several types of traps and share real historical stories that bring the site to life.
Travelers will cruise along the Tien River to see local fisherman’s ports, riverside life, and the four famous islets: Dragon, Kirin, Tortoise, and Phoenix. The main visit takes place on Kirin Islet. Walk through orchard gardens, taste fresh seasonal fruits, and enjoy “Don Ca Tai Tu”, traditional Southern Vietnamese folk music. Then relax on a horse-cart ride through the village and take a hand-rowing sampan along peaceful coconut-lined canals. After a short village walk, enjoy lunch at a riverside restaurant with Mekong specialties such as deep-fried giant gourami, spring rolls, and giant fried sticky rice ball.
