This 3-hour Guided Private Food Tour in Athens will introduce you to the gastronomy of multiple Greek regions. You will also discover many insights on the secrets of Greek cuisine.

You will taste various greek delicacies like: koulouri, loukoumades, greek pies, baklava & traditional greek dishes like tzatziki, fried zucchini, eggplants, fava, greek salad & seafood.

You will taste traditional greek coffee on hovoli

You can choose between greek wine, ouzo or raki

What's Included

The famous Koulouri of Psiri, various Greek Homemade Pies (Pites) and a typical Greek desert, Loukoumades & Baklava, the most traditional turkish desert adopted widely by the Greek cuisine.
Together we will visit a traditional tavern, which is located in a beautiful, neoclassical building. There we will taste traditional delicacies
Greek house wine or Raki (a liqueur from the island of Crete). We kindly specify that the minimum age of alcohol consumption is 18 years old.
For children we offer a glass of refreshment of their choice
Greek coffee in Hovoli, Hovoli is a special way of making Greek coffee. The coffee is brewed slowly so it gets a better and more intense flavor.

Our meeting point is at Monastiraki Square, outside the church ''Ieros Naos Pantanassis'', 15’ before the start of the tour. Our guide will be waiting for you holding an Athens Walker sign.

    1st stop After meeting on Monastiraki Square you will stroll around the Historical City Center. Between Psirri Neighborhood & Athinas Street, you are going to taste different greek delicacies: the famous Koulouri of Psiri, various Greek Homemade Pies (Pites) and a typical Greek desert, Loukoumades.

    2nd stop Visit to Varvakeios Market You will continue with a visit to the biggest, oldest, and most central local food market of Athens, where you can purchase fresh fish, delicious meats, and local products like nuts and herbs exclusively from Greek producers.

You will visit a traditional tavern, which is located in a beautiful, neoclassical building. There you will taste traditional delicacies and Greek house wine or Raki (a liqueur from the island of Crete).
