What to expect

Takayama has seven historic sake breweries, most of them quietly tucked into the old town. On this private 2 hour tour, your expert sake guide takes you behind the scenes of two or three of them. Into rooms visitors don't usually see, where rice becomes sake season by season. At one brewery, you taste seven or more varieties poured for you in the place they were made. By the end, the way you think about sake and town will have changed.
