RENT-N-RIDE

For paddlers who are comfortable on the water, Rent-N-Ride gives you the freedom to experience the Verde River at your own pace!

We’ll get you set up with your kayak, paddle, life jacket, and shuttle, then send you out for a self guided ride along one of Arizona’s most scenic stretches of river. Expect calm moving water, beautiful desert views, shaded riverbanks, wildlife, and a few fun ripples along the way.

This option is perfect for guests who have some kayaking experience and want a little more independence on the water. We handle the gear and transportation. You bring the confidence, enjoy the ride, and take in the Verde your way.

Check in is 45 MINUTES PRIOR TO LAUNCH TIME (9am tour = 8:15am check in. etc) at 900 Main Street, Clarkdale AZ 86324 (At The Dream West Caboose) Shuttle departs on the half hour. Late arrivals will need to reschedule on future trips that have availability. No refunds for late arrivals.

What to expect

Your Verde River trip begins with a simple check in at our Cottonwood launch hub, where the Clarkdale Kayak Company team will help get you ready for the water. We’ll match you with the right kayak, provide your paddle and life vest, and walk you through what to expect before heading out.

Once everyone is geared up, our shuttle takes you to the river so you can skip the heavy lifting and enjoy an easy start to the day. From there, you’ll float and paddle on your self-guided tour, through a scenic 3.1 mile stretch of the Verde River, surrounded by desert views, cool water, and a few gentle mini rapids to keep things fun.

This trip is a great fit for beginners, families, couples, and groups who want a relaxed outdoor adventure without overcomplicating the experience. When your paddle is complete, we''l pick you up at the designated endpoint, and get you back to the Dream West Caboose, making it easy to keep exploring Cottonwood, Clarkdale, Jerome, and the Verde Valley!
