Discover the Chacchoben Mayan Ruins, an ancient Maya city hidden in the tropical jungle and one of the most fascinating archaeological sites near Costa Maya. Your adventure begins one hour after your cruise ship arrives in port. From Costa Maya, travel approximately 50 minutes to Chacchoben, where your guide will take you through the ancient city while sharing its history and the traditions of the Maya civilization. Explore impressive temples, ceremonial plazas, and the Gran Basamento, while also discovering the native flora and wildlife of the surrounding jungle. Keep an eye out for tropical birds and spider monkeys that can sometimes be spotted along the way. After exploring Chacchoben, sit back and relax on the return journey to Costa Maya. The complete experience lasts approximately 4 hours, including round-trip transportation.
