Meet your host directly at Hovedoya pier, where you will be welcomed and guided to a peaceful outdoor area near the water. We organize the BBQ setup and a place to sit, so you only need to bring your own food and drinks.
During the experience, your host will also take you on a guided island walk around parts of Hovedoya. Discover beautiful nature, coastal paths, beaches, historic ruins, and peaceful viewpoints while hearing simple local stories about the island’s history, nature, and life in the Oslofjord.

Meeting and pickup
To reach Hovedoya pier, take the public ferry from Aker Brygge / Radhusbrygge in Oslo city center. The ferry ride to Hovedøya is short and scenic and normally takes around 5–10 minutes. When you arrive at Hovedoya pier. Look for the person wearing a “BLUE VEST."
