Operated by The Original Aurora Hunters®, Arctic GM is a family-run company with roots in Lapland dating back to the 1600s, combining local knowledge with a focus on small-group experiences and guided hiking.

After pickup, you will travel to the national park, located away from busy tourist areas. The experience includes a guided walk through forest trails and scenic viewpoints, with time to enjoy the surroundings, take photos, and learn about the local nature and winter environment.

The pace is moderate, making it suitable for most fitness levels.

During the day, you will stop to enjoy a traditional Lapland barbecue in a natural setting.

    Begin your experience with pickup in Rovaniemi and transfer to Riisitunturi National Park, located approximately 2–2.5 hours from the city. On arrival, you will start a guided walk through snow-covered forest trails. The route passes through areas known for heavily snow-laden trees, often referred to locally as “tykky,” as well as open viewpoints overlooking the surrounding Arctic landscape. The walk is at a moderate and steady pace, with regular stops to enjoy the scenery, take photos, and rest. Your guide will share insights about the park, winter conditions, and local nature throughout the experience. Midway through the outing, you will stop at a designated fire site to enjoy a traditional Lapland barbecue with hot drinks. After completing the walk, return transfer to Rovaniemi. Total duration is approximately 7–8 hours.
