Explore Lapland’s forests through a relaxed foraging experience focused on wild berries and mushrooms.
Operated by The Original Aurora Hunters®, Arctic GM is a family-run company with roots in Lapland dating back to the 1600s, offering local knowledge of nature and seasonal ingredients.
After pickup, you will head into nearby forest areas selected based on the season. Your guide will introduce you to common edible berries and mushrooms, explain how to identify them safely, and share insights into local traditions and nature.
The experience is unhurried, with time to explore, taste, and learn while walking through forest terrain.
This is a simple and authentic way to experience the Arctic wilderness, focusing on local knowledge rather than a fast-paced activity.

To ensure a smooth journey, we kindly ask you to be in the lobby 10 minutes before your scheduled pickup time. Our friendly guide will wait for up to 15 minutes after the scheduled pickup time before departing. Thank you for your cooperation!

Begin your experience with pickup in Rovaniemi and transfer to nearby forest areas selected based on seasonal conditions. On arrival, your guide will introduce the basics of foraging, including how to identify common edible berries and mushrooms and how to harvest them safely. You will then walk through forest terrain at a relaxed pace, stopping to search, taste, and learn about the surrounding nature. The exact locations and finds vary depending on the season. The experience includes regular stops to discuss plants, take photos, and enjoy the peaceful forest environment. During the tour, you will take a break to enjoy hot drinks and light snacks. After the experience, return transfer to Rovaniemi. Total duration is approximately 3–4 hours.
