Explore the Korouoma Canyon in autumn, when the landscape transforms into a mix of golden forests, rugged cliffs, and flowing waterfalls.
Operated by The Original Aurora Hunters®, Arctic GM is a family-run company with roots in Lapland dating back to the 1600s, combining local knowledge with a focus on small-group experiences and guided hiking.
After pickup, you will travel to Korouoma Nature Reserve, one of Finland’s most impressive canyon areas. The hike takes you through forest trails and along the canyon floor, passing waterfalls and scenic viewpoints that are especially vibrant during autumn.
The pace is moderate, with time to enjoy the surroundings, take photos, and learn about the local nature and landscape.
During the hike, you will stop to enjoy a traditional Lapland barbecue in a natural setting.

Meeting and pickup
To ensure a smooth journey, we kindly ask you to be in the lobby 10 minutes before your scheduled pickup time. Our friendly guide will wait for up to 15 minutes after the scheduled pickup time before departing. Thank you for your cooperation!
What to expect
On arrival, you will start a guided hike through forest trails leading into the canyon area. The route passes through varied terrain, including woodland paths, open areas, and sections along the canyon floor.
During the hike, you will see rock formations, flowing waterfalls, and wide canyon landscapes, especially vibrant during the autumn season.
The pace is moderate, with regular stops to enjoy the views, take photos, and rest.
Midway through the hike, you will stop at a designated fire site to enjoy a traditional Lapland barbecue with hot drinks.
After completing the hike, return transfer to Rovaniemi. Total duration is approximately 6–7 hours.
