Our watercolor painting picnic experience is designed to create a relaxing experience learning about essential watercolor techniques, and creating a work of art of your choosing. We provide all the materials needed for a comfortable setup, with professional art tools. We lead with practice sessions, and then provide tailored guidance for each individual guest as they work on an original watercolor painting. We love to share insights about the value of watercolors, for its meditative effects, and its lessons on patience, embracing imperfection, and practicing until progress is achieved.
What's Included
Meeting and pickup
We will be set up in the park area located within the Cosoy Way loop. We will provide a pin link to the exact spot in the park. You will recognize our boho painting picnic setup shown in the photos, and be greeted by your painting host.
What to expect
We will start out the first 30 minutes by sharing our Watercolor philosophies and introducing you to basic watercolor techniques including color theory, blending, and layering. Plenty of watercolor papers will be provided for practicing different paintbrushes, strokes, and paint-water ratios.
Next, we will spend 60-90 minutes on each guest crafting an original watercolor painting. Numerous watercolor samples of botanical and landscape paintings will be made available to view as a guide. Or, you may choose the Plein Air style and focus on a scene or a tree in the park. This painting workshop is designed to integrate the flexible and relaxing flow of watercolor painting, with creating nature-themed art of your choosing.
