Swim with the largest fish in the ocean, at the surface, in one of the few bays on earth where whale sharks return every season to feed.
Departures from downtown La Paz on a small boat with a certified bilingual guide — snorkel equipment, life jacket and all permits and fees included.
A regulated encounter, done right: the environmental authority limits how many people may be in the water at a time, and your guide tells you when to enter and when to exit. Those rules are the reason this encounter still exists.
Whale sharks are wild animals in open water. Sightings are frequent in season, but never guaranteed — and we would rather tell you that before you book than after.

Meeting and pickup
Round-trip pickup is available from accommodations in downtown La Paz. We confirm your pickup time together with your departure time. If you are staying outside the downtown area, message us before booking.

About one hour out, around two hours in the encounter zone with two to three water entries, and about one hour back.

The environmental authority assigns departure turns each morning and may also change the date. So: we cannot confirm an exact time when you book, please keep the booked day fully available, and make sure we can reach you by phone or WhatsApp that day. We contact you as soon as the schedule is released — the night before or early that same morning — by WhatsApp and email. If the date is moved and you cannot travel on the new one, you choose: reschedule at no cost within your stay, or a full refund.
