We then head north through scenic mountain roads towards São Vicente, before reaching the dramatic coastline of Seixal, known for its lush green cliffs, waterfalls and beautiful black sand beach, one of the most photogenic spots on the island.
Next, we visit Porto Moniz, home to Madeira’s iconic natural volcanic pools. Here, you’ll have time to relax, explore or even take a swim .
The adventure continues until arrive at the magical Fanal Forest, part of the UNESCO Laurisilva forest. With its ancient trees and frequent mist, this place offers a unique and almost mystical atmosphere.

Fanal Forest, part of Madeira’s Laurissilva (a UNESCO World Natural Heritage site), is a truly magical place with ancient, moss-covered trees often surrounded by mysterious fog. Visitors will have the chance to walk among these unique trees, enjoy the peaceful atmosphere, take stunning photos, and admire the views over the plateau and surrounding mountains. During the visit, I also share interesting facts about the forest, its endemic species, and the importance of this ecosystem to the island.
