06:30 – 06:45: your private guide and driver will pick you up in Sapa and begin the scenic journey to Can Cau Market, located near the Chinese border.
Can Cau Market open only on Saturdays, this vibrant ethnic market is one of the most authentic in Northern Vietnam, where Flower H’mong, Nung, Dao, and other ethnic groups gather to trade livestock, handicrafts, textiles, and local products. Spend the morning exploring the colorful market, meeting local people in traditional costumes, and experiencing the unique atmosphere of a traditional highland trading day.
Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before continuing through the beautiful mountain landscapes to Bac Ha Town. In the afternoon, visit Hoang A Tuong Palace, known as the “King of the H’mong Palace,” and learn about the history of the region. After lunch in Bac Ha, visit Hoang A Tuong Palace, a historic landmark known for its unique blend of French colonial and Chinese architecture. Once home to the influential Hoang family, the palace offers fascinating insights into the history and culture of the Bac Ha region. Continue to Ban Pho Village, a traditional Flower H’mong community surrounded by beautiful mountain landscapes. Stroll through the village, discover traditional houses, and learn about the customs and daily life of the local people. Ban Pho is also famous for its traditional corn wine, an important part of the region’s cultural heritage.
