What to expect

During this hands-on traditional cooking experience, you will learn to make rice the old-fashioned way using an Okudosan, a classic Japanese wood-fired clay stove rarely seen today.

The process is a full five-sense journey: watch the flames glow, listen to the crackling fire and bubbling pot, smell the warm aroma of rice and woodsmoke, feel the firewood in your hands, and finally taste the incredibly fluffy, glossy rice you have cooked yourself.
