Cedar Creek was carved by water over millions of years into the rainforest behind Airlie Beach. After a short journey from Airlie Beach, what you find is not the same on every tour.
Before you walk into the falls, the team has been ahead of you. Chairs and a table are set up, pool noodles and water shoes are ready. Enjoy fresh homemade banana bread with morning or afternoon tea: biscuits, fresh fruit, cake, tea and coffee at the water.
Your guide shares the Aboriginal cultural history of Cedar Creek and the surrounding country. The story behind the landscape is part of every departure.
At the falls, the time is yours. The rock pools are cool and clear. The walk to the top threads up through the canopy. Wildlife moves through the bush around you. Your guide is beside you throughout, knowing what's there and where to look.

The Blue Bus stops behind the Deck cafe. Walk through the Cafe, (it’s a thoroughfare) follow the path towards the bridge, and you will find the blue bus stops.

1Cedar Creek Falls
Explore in your own time, we will have chairs and a table set up for our group with access to water shoes and pool noodles. Morning tea is provided including freshly cooked homemade Banana bread. Here you can either go swimming, explore the rock pools, take a short rainforest walk, wildlife spotting and learn Aboriginal cultural history from your guide.

- Water shoes are provided in all sizes. The terrain at the falls is rocky.
- Suitable for all ages and fitness levels.
- Children aged 1 to 14 must be accompanied by a paying adult. Infants sit on laps during transport.
- Dry season (August to October): The waterfall may not be running but the waterhole is there all year.
- Cruise ship passengers: the three-hour duration and flexible departure times fit Whitsundays port schedules.
- Not wheelchair accessible.
- Not recommended for guests with high blood pressure, epilepsy or similar conditions.
- Maximum 30 guests per departure. Service animals are allowed.
