What to expect
Your private driver will meet you at your designated pickup point in Hopkins Village, whether it's a hotel, resort, lodge, or vacation rental. We'll assist with loading your luggage, and once everyone is comfortable, your journey to San Ignacio begins.
Stop 2: Scenic Drive Along the Hummingbird Highway
After a short stretch north on the Southern Highway, you'll join the Hummingbird Highway, one of the most beautiful drives in Belize. Take in views of lush rainforest, limestone karst hills, citrus groves, small communities, and river valleys with the Maya Mountains rising in the distance.
Stop 3: Pass Through Belmopan – Belize's Capital City
At the end of the Hummingbird Highway you'll reach Belmopan, the capital of Belize. If needed, you may request a quick stop here for groceries, snacks, or a restroom break.
Stop 4: Arrival in San Ignacio
From Belmopan, the drive continues west along the George Price Highway through Roaring Creek and the Cayo villages, then across the Hawkesworth Bridge into San Ignacio. Your driver will take you directly to your hotel, lodge, or vacation rental and assist with unloading your luggage.
