Travel from Amsterdam to Zaanse Schans with Michael, your private driver-guide. Explore the historic windmills and wooden houses, step inside one working windmill and watch a traditional clog-making demonstration. Michael explains the role of wind power in the area's history and gives you time for questions and photographs. Admission to one windmill is included. The approximate time shown for this section includes the drive from Amsterdam.

2Jacobs Hoeve Cheese Farm by Henri Willig
Visit a cheese farm in Katwoude, near Volendam, to discover how Dutch cheese is made. See the Jersey cows, learn how the milking robot works and enjoy a cheese tasting. Michael accompanies you, with time for questions and a look around the farm. The approximate time shown for this section includes travel from Zaanse Schans.

3Volendam
Walk along De Dijk and the harbour with Michael and discover Volendam's fishing-village character. Enjoy the waterfront, browse the small shops and pause for photographs. There is time for lunch or a snack at your own expense, followed by the boat crossing to Marken.
