Walk through the peaceful shrine grounds surrounded by mature trees and experience a quieter side of the city before continuing toward central Sapporo. The stop offers a gentle introduction to Hokkaido’s local history and spiritual traditions and works well as the first sightseeing point of the day.
Continue to Odori Park, the green corridor running through central Sapporo. Enjoy a short walk, city photography, and views of the surrounding downtown skyline. Depending on the season, the park may also host flowers, seasonal displays, festivals, or winter events.
Experience Hokkaido’s food culture at Nijo Market, a traditional seafood market in central Sapporo. Browse stalls selling crab, scallops, sea urchin, salmon roe, fresh fish, and other local specialties. Guests may choose their own seafood bowl, grilled seafood, snacks, or seasonal produce.
Continue to the Sapporo Beer Museum and Beer Garden area, where guests can learn about the history of one of Japan’s best-known beer brands and Hokkaido’s brewing culture. Depending on your interests and available time, you may focus on the museum exhibits, enjoy optional beer tasting, or visit the Beer Garden for a meal such as Hokkaido-style jingisukan barbecue.
Leave central Sapporo for Hitsujigaoka Observation Hill, known for its open landscape, seasonal scenery, and views across the surrounding area. Take photographs, enjoy the spacious setting, and see one of Sapporo’s classic sightseeing landmarks before continuing toward the evening viewpoint.
Finish the sightseeing portion of the tour at Mt. Moiwa, one of Sapporo’s best-known panoramic viewpoints. When conditions allow, take the ropeway and connecting transport toward the summit for sweeping views over the city. Depending on seasonal sunset time and the selected departure time, guests may experience daylight, sunset, twilight, or illuminated city views.
