Explore Eastern Hokkaido on a 6-day private vehicle tour designed for first-time visitors, families, and small groups. Travel from New Chitose Airport to Kushiro, then discover Kushiro Wetland, Lake Mashu, Lake Kussharo, Lake Akan, Abashiri, Shiretoko, Furano, and Sapporo without planning trains or buses. Days 2–5 include up to 8 hours of vehicle service; Day 1 is the airport-to-Kushiro travel day and Day 6 is the Sapporo-to-New Chitose Airport drop-off. This is a driver-only service; a licensed guide and guaranteed English-speaking driver are not included. Contact us at least 24 hours ahead with flights, hotels, passenger and luggage details, and preferred stops. Default route: CTS–Kushiro–Akan/Mashu/Kussharo–Abashiri–Shiretoko–Furano–Sapporo–CTS. Tickets, meals, accommodation, and optional activities are self-paid. Seasonal attractions and routes may change due to weather, wildlife, road access, or operating conditions.

You can choose a pickup location at checkout (multiple pickup locations are available).
Pickup details:

Day 1 pickup is from New Chitose Airport. Days 2–5 begin from the confirmed hotel along the itinerary in Kushiro, Lake Akan, Shiretoko, or Furano. Day 6 begins from your Sapporo hotel and ends at New Chitose Airport.
Please contact us at least 24 hours before the first service day and provide your flight number and arrival time, hotel names and addresses for all nights, passenger number, luggage quantity and size, reachable phone number/WhatsApp.
New Chitose Airport includes 90 minutes of free waiting from the actual flight landing time. Hotels and other non-airport locations include 30 minutes from the scheduled pickup time.
Days 2–5 include up to 8 hours of vehicle service per day.
Passenger and luggage limits must be respected. If capacity is exceeded, a larger or additional vehicle may be required at extra cost and subject to availability.
Seasonal roads and attractions in Shiretoko may be closed or restricted due to weather, wildlife activity, road conditions.

    New Chitose Airport to Kushiro

    Meet your driver at New Chitose Airport and begin your journey across Hokkaido to Kushiro. Relax in your private vehicle while your driver handles the long-distance journey east. A short rest stop may be arranged along the way if needed.

    If arrival time allows, enjoy a short stop in central Kushiro for a walk, dinner, or photos before checking in. Sightseeing on Day 1 depends on the actual flight arrival time and road conditions.

    Kushiro Wetland – Lake Akan – Lake Mashu – Lake Kussharo

    Enjoy wide views across Kushiro Wetland, one of Japan’s largest marshlands. See the winding Kushiro River, open grasslands, and natural scenery from a panoramic viewpoint before continuing deeper into eastern Hokkaido.

    Stop beside Lake Kussharo and enjoy the broad lakeside scenery. At Sunayu, naturally heated water rises beneath the sand, creating one of the area’s most unusual geothermal landscapes.

    Explore historic prison buildings and learn how Abashiri Prison became closely connected with Hokkaido’s early development. The open-air museum preserves former prison buildings and offers a cultural contrast to the natural scenery of the trip.
