Experience Mombasa through the eyes of someone who actually grew up here. This is not a staged cultural show — it's a real village, real elders, and a real community that comes together for your group.
When you arrive at the village, a team of 5 to 10 people — drummers, dancers, elders, and hosts — has gathered specifically for you. The village fee goes directly to them, shared among the people who made the moment happen. Not to a company. To the community.
This is a private experience. Every booking is hosted exclusively for your group — no strangers, no shared coach, no rushed itinerary. Just your guide, your pace, and genuine access to a side of Kenya most travelers never reach.
From the school visit to the rhythm of the drums to giraffes roaming free at Nguuni — every moment is real, personal, and hosted by the people who call this place home. Spaces are limited. Book now

What to expect

Most visitors never leave the beach. This experience takes you somewhere different — into real community, culture, and genuine human connection on the Kenyan coast.
Your day begins at a local school, where you'll walk through classrooms and share a moment with kids who are genuinely curious about the world beyond Kenya. Donations welcome, never expected.
From there, you step into a traditional Mijikenda village — not a reconstructed site, but the actual village your guide Rico grew up in. Walk through homesteads, sit with elders, and hear stories passed down through generations that mass tourism has never touched.
When the drums start, it's not a performance — it's an invitation. Join in, move with the rhythm, laugh with the dancers.
Refresh with fresh coconut water straight from the tree, and if curious, try traditional palm wine — a genuine part of coastal Kenyan life.
The day ends at Nguuni Wildlife Sanctuary, where giraffes, zebras, ostriches, and antelopes roam free without fences. Calm, unhurried, and beautiful.
Private, real, and hosted by someone who grew up here. This is Mombasa beyond the ordinary. Spaces are limited — book now.
