Your journey begins with an early morning departure from Marrakech. Cross the spectacular High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n'Tichka Pass, enjoying breathtaking panoramic views and traditional Berber villages along the way. Visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ait Ben Haddou, Morocco's most famous fortified village, where many international films have been filmed. Continue to Ouarzazate, known as the "Gateway to the Sahara," before driving through the beautiful Skoura Oasis and the Valley of Roses. Arrive in the Dades Valley in the late afternoon. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay in a charming hotel.
Day 2: Dades Valley – Todra Gorge – Merzouga Desert Camp After breakfast, continue through the stunning Dades Valley toward the magnificent Todra Gorge, where you will have time to walk beneath the towering canyon walls and enjoy lunch. Drive through palm groves, Berber villages, and the desert landscapes of Erfoud before arriving in Merzouga. Meet your camel caravan and ride across the golden Erg Chebbi dunes while enjoying the beautiful sunset. Arrive at your luxury desert camp, where you will be welcomed with traditional Moroccan tea. Enjoy a delicious dinner followed by Berber music around the campfire under the star-filled desert sky.
Wake up early to witness the magical sunrise over the golden Sahara dunes, followed by breakfast at the desert camp. After breakfast, you will be transferred to your hotel, with check-in scheduled for approximately 9:00 a.m. The rest of the day is at your leisure. You may explore the surrounding area independently or choose from a selection of optional activities like 4x4 tour and Quads.
After breakfast, depart Merzouga and travel through Erfoud and the magnificent Ziz Valley, famous for its thousands of palm trees and panoramic viewpoints. Continue through Midelt before crossing the cedar forests of the Middle Atlas Mountains, where you may spot wild Barbary macaques. Stop in Ifrane, often called the "Switzerland of Morocco" because of its alpine-style architecture and clean streets, before arriving in Fes in the late afternoon. Your driver will drop you off at your accommodation or the nearest accessible point.
