The experience begins with pickup from your hotel or confirmed meeting point in Cancun or the Riviera Maya. Once travelers are aboard the air-conditioned bus or van, the day begins with the journey toward Chiquilá, passing through the landscapes that connect the Mexican Caribbean with the island gateway to Holbox. This first part of the tour gives travelers time to settle in and get ready for a day of boat rides, island scenery, freshwater swimming, beach time, and coastal views.
Travelers will arrive in Chiquilá, a small coastal town known as the main departure point for boat routes to Holbox and nearby natural attractions. Before boarding, guests will enjoy a light breakfast box lunch that includes a sandwich, juice, and fruit. From here, the experience changes from road travel to island adventure as the group boards the boat and begins the route toward Holbox, Yalahau, and Isla de la Pasión.
The main island stop takes place in Holbox, a relaxed Caribbean destination known for its sandy streets, calm beaches, colorful town life, and easygoing coastal atmosphere. Travelers will have free time to enjoy the beach, walk around, take photos, explore the surroundings, or simply slow down and enjoy the island rhythm. During the visit, travelers will also enjoy lunch at a beachfront restaurant, choosing from different dish options while taking in the peaceful Holbox setting.
After Holbox, the boat route continues toward Yalahau, a beautiful freshwater cenote surrounded by natural scenery. This stop brings a refreshing change after beach time on the island, inviting travelers to swim, cool off, and enjoy a peaceful moment in contact with nature. A life jacket is included for this part of the experience. After the cenote visit, the boat continues toward Isla de la Pasión, adding more coastal scenery to the route.
After the cenote, the adventure continues by boat to Isla de la Pasión, a quiet natural area where travelers can enjoy coastal scenery, mangroves, and beautiful views. This stop adds a softer and more scenic side to the tour, ideal for walking, taking photos, and appreciating the peaceful surroundings. Travelers may also visit the viewpoint area, where the landscape opens up for panoramic photos and a final connection with the natural beauty of the region before returning to Chiquilá.
At the end of the boat route, travelers will return to the Chiquilá marina and board the bus or van for the journey back to their hotels or confirmed meeting points. This final part of the day closes the experience after a full route of island scenery, beach time, freshwater swimming, mangroves, local flavor, and coastal views.
