We stop at the wetlands to observe the native wildlife foraging and bathing in their natural habitat before we arrive at the unmissable site - Ubirr rock. A chance to dig deep into the culture of Kakadu learn about the local rock art and take in the spectacular views on offer here. After filling our bellies with lunch, we'll move on to a highlight of the tour, the cultural cruise on the East Alligator River which separates Kakadu from Arnhem Land. Mitsuaki Tanabe’s granite carvings pay homage to the native grass that produces wild rice once harvested in the Top End. We go for a short bush walk to locate some of the carvings depicting various images including the native wild rice. The site is on the edge of the Mt.
