Explore Okayama Korakuen in a Kimono with a Local Guide
Your experience begins at a kimono rental shop near Okayama Station.
Choose your kimono or hakama on the day, with your English-speaking guide there to help you communicate with the shop staff. Professional staff will assist you with dressing.
Once ready, your guide will take you through Okayama Korakuen, one of Japan’s three celebrated landscape gardens. Discover the garden’s highlights and take photos with Okayama Castle in the background.
During your visit, relax at a teahouse inside the garden and choose one item from the menu, such as matcha or a seasonal Japanese sweet. Enjoy Okayama’s scenery and culture in traditional dress, with your guide by your side throughout the experience.
Your guide will be waiting in front of Kimono Rental CHACHA, holding a board with your name on it.
We will begin our tour at "Kimono Rental ChaCha," conveniently located near Okayama Station. Here, you can transform your look by choosing a beautiful Kimono or a stylish Hakama (traditional pleated trousers). Professional staff will help you get dressed, so you don't need to worry about a thing. Exploring the historic garden and the streets of Okayama in traditional Japanese attire will make your photos and memories truly special!
Enjoy a peaceful stroll through Okayama Korakuen, officially ranked as one of the "Three Best Landscape Gardens" in Japan. The garden features a 300-year history with vast lawns, a beautiful pond, and a unique tea plantation. You can capture stunning views of Okayama Castle reflected on the water. We will also take a relaxing break at a traditional tea house inside the garden to enjoy Matcha or seasonal sweets. (Note: If the garden tea house is full, we may visit a nice cafe nearby just outside the grounds.)
