Start your adventure with a 1.5-hour river cruise on the majestic Sunday's River a bird lovers paradise. Admire and walk on the beautiful Alexandria dune fields, the largest and least degraded coastal dune field in the Southern Hemisphere. At the top of the dunes you can can see Snt Croix Island which is situated in the Marine Protected area of Addo Elephant Park.
Next we will stop at the famous Nanaga Farm Stall for a delicious lunch. Savor a roosterkoek (a kind of roll unique to South Africa, cooked on a grill and slightly charred) or a homemade pie, and enjoy a drink of your choice. Try some biltong, a traditional South African snack, to complete your meal.
Afte lunch we will head to Kragga Kamma Game Reserve on the outskirts of Port Elizabeth for a thrilling game drive where you can see 3 of the big 5 Lions, Buffalos, White Rhinos and the iconic Giraffe. Keep your eyes peeled for wildlife as you explore the reserve.
What's Included
Meeting and pickup
We will pick you up at the arrival hall or outside your accommodation. The driver will be waiting for you with a signboard with the lead travel name or driver will be with a branded vehicle of the company name Carlin's Tours. The tour does include a pick up from any location in Port Elizabeth, Bluewater Bay, Colchester, The Matyholweni Gate of the Addo Elephant Park. On the day of the tour or the day before the tour we will message you to make travel arrangements.
What to expect
Enjoy a River Cruise on the Sundays River is a unique way to discover why they call the Sundays River “Africa’s Best Kept Secret”.
During the tour you will head up to the river mouth, stop at the Alexandria dune fields the largest in the Southern hemisphere. Sundays River is also a bird watching paradise with a wide diversity of bird life. Enjoy a 1.5 hour cruise along the river.
On the second half of the Tour view animals in their natural habitat during a guided self drive tour at Kragga Kamma Game Park its part of the smaller side at 203ha compared to other African parks, but it has abundance of different species including 3 of the Big 5, Lion, Buffalo and White Rhino. For Lunch we will stop at the famous Nanaga Farm Stall for a rosterkoek(a kind of roll unique to South Africa, cooked on grill and slightly charred) or homemade pie and a drink of your choice (homemade pineapple juice is great) and try out some biltong.
