You will be picked up from your hotel at around 8:00 am for a scenic 40–50 minute drive to a boat club jetty near Kuching Wetlands. Upon arrival, you will embark on a charming river cruise and head toward the South China Sea, traveling along tranquil mangrove rivers while keeping a lookout for the elusive Irrawaddy dolphin, also known as the snubfin dolphin, near the mouth of the Santubong River. The Santubong area is widely regarded as one of the best locations in Sarawak to spot Irrawaddy dolphins, which inhabit estuaries and shallow coastal waters. As the cruise continues, we navigate through winding wetlands waterways and estuaries, offering opportunities to observe the rich wildlife that thrives in this lush ecosystem.
