After breakfast, your Iriza Tours & Safaris driver-guide will pick you up from your hotel in Kigali or Kigali International Airport and begin the journey to Akagera National Park. Enjoy the scenic drive through Rwanda’s countryside, with opportunities for photographic stops along the way. Upon arrival at Akagera, check into your lodge and have some time to settle in. Later in the afternoon, head to Lake Ihema for a sunset boat cruise. Enjoy beautiful views across the lake while looking out for hippos, crocodiles and water birds along the shores. Day 2: Akagera | Full-Day Game Drive & Return to Kigali Wake up early, enjoy breakfast and set out for a full-day game drive through Akagera National Park. Explore the park’s savannah, wetlands and woodland habitats while searching for elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, antelopes, lions, rhinos and other wildlife. Your experienced guide will help you discover the park and its diverse wildlife while sharing insights about Rwanda’s conservation efforts. After the game drive, begin your journey back to Kigali. You will be dropped off at your hotel or Kigali International Airport, depending on your onward plans. End of your Akagera safari with Iriza Tours & Safaris.
