A 35km self-guided bike ride awaits, weaving through olive groves and vineyards before arriving at Setenil de las Bodegas, famed for its unique cliffside houses.

Collect your bike just outside Ronda and tackle an easy-to-moderate route with gradual ascents, culminating in a delightful downhill glide into the village. After exploring the stunning cave houses and indulging in some tapas, a quick shuttle returns you to Ronda. With included bike hire, GPS, support and transport, this hassle-free adventure allows you to immerse yourself in the beauty of the Andalusian landscape at your own pace.

What to expect

Meet your guide for a briefing and fitting on a quality Focus mountain bike. We’ll set up your GPS navigation so you can ride at your own pace.

Leaving Ronda, you’ll head into the countryside along an unpaved historic trade route once used by coastal fishermen. The path uses quiet tracks and backroads with minimal traffic, passing through Mediterranean oak forests (Dehesas) and local vineyards with views of the Sierra de las Nieves.

While there is an initial ascent at the start, a highlight is a spectacular descent into the Guadalporcún Valley.

The tour ends in Setenil de las Bodegas, famous for houses built into limestone cliffs.

Our unique finish: Leave your bike with the guide on the outskirts so you can explore the narrow "Cave House" streets on foot and grab lunch without the hassle of a bicycle. We then provide a van transfer back to Ronda, arriving by 15:30.
