3Cavusin
Çavuşin Valley takes its name from the village of Çavuşin located in the region. Nestled among large rocks, the village boasts a rich history. Dating back to the 1st century, it was a settlement inhabited by Christian monks fleeing Roman attacks. To protect themselves from these attacks, living spaces were built inside the rocks. Due to the infertile soil, the inhabitants used pigeon droppings to fill the gaps in the chimneys.
