Kvalsund (Pass by)
We may drive through or near Kvalsund as part of the northern lights search, depending on weather, cloud cover and aurora conditions. The area offers darker surroundings away from the town lights of Hammerfest, with open views toward the sky, fjords, mountains and Arctic coastal landscape. During the drive, I explain the local landscape, Sámi land use and how people and reindeer have used these areas through the seasons. If conditions are good, we may stop nearby for photos and northern lights viewing, but the exact stops can vary from night to night. Time spent here

We may pass through Sennalandet while searching for the northern lights, depending on weather, cloud cover, road conditions and aurora visibility. This open mountain plateau can offer darker skies and wide views away from the lights of Hammerfest, making it a useful area when conditions are suitable. During the drive, I explain the surrounding landscape, Sámi land use, reindeer movement and how weather, wind and open terrain shape life in this part of the Arctic. The exact route may change from night to night to give guests the best possible chance of seeing the northern lights safely.
