Gaudi Highlights & Paella Cooking Class Small Group

2 hours (approximately)

This small-group experience blends two of Barcelona's greatest pleasures: art and food. You'll begin with a guided walk through the heart of Modernist Barcelona, taking in Gaudi landmarks such as Casa Batllo and La Pedrera along the elegant Passeig de Gracia, while your local guide brings Catalan Modernism to life. Then it's hands-on at a modern cooking showroom, where a professional chef teaches you to prepare authentic paella alongside classic Catalan dishes, paired with wine and homemade sangria. With a small group, plenty of personal attention and a feast of your own making to enjoy at the end, it's a delicious, culture-rich way to discover the real Barcelona.

What to expect

The tour starts in front of Casa Batlló, where the local guide will welcome the group and introduce the historical and artistic context of Catalan Modernism and the figure of Antoni Gaudí. From here, the walking route continues along Passeig de Gràcia, admiring the exterior of La Pedrera, one of Gaudí's most distinctive residential buildings. The guide will explain the key characteristics of Modernist architecture, architectural details and Gaudí's impact on Barcelona's urban development. Once the walking tour is completed, the group heads to Kampada Cooking, a modern gastronomic showroom. Here, the culinary experience begins. Guided by a professional chef, participants will learn how to prepare their own paella, as well as mussels in marinera sauce, cuttlefish with garlic and parsley, the traditional pa amb tomàquet and homemade sangria, with explanations of ingredients, techniques and culinary traditions. The activity concludes with the tasting of the dishes prepared by the group, closing an experience that perfectly combines culture, architecture and local gastronomy.
