4Fushimi Inari-taisha Shrine
Fushimi Inari Taisha is one of the most iconic places in Kyoto and the main shrine dedicated to Inari, the Shinto deity of rice, prosperity, and business. Here you can find thousands of iconic red torii gates donated by individuals and companies, trails that wind through the sacred mountain, small shrines hidden in the forest, and numerous fox statues (kitsune), considered messengers of Inari.
