Discover sumo through an interactive and educational show led by former professional rikishi. Unlike official Grand Sumo tournaments, this experience focuses on learning, close-up viewing, and hands-on participation.
Watch powerful live bouts from a distance rarely possible in Grand Sumo, where you can feel the speed, impact, and movement up close. Then step into the dohyō for training in shiko, sumo stance, and suri-ashi, with the chance to join a friendly one-on-one match with a former rikishi.
Our specially designed mat-based dohyō is built to the same dimensions as a professional Grand Sumo ring. For safety and hygiene, women and children are also welcome to enter the ring, take photos, and practice basic movements.
Try on a traditional haori, with premium kimono dressing available as an add-on. Optional Chanko Nabe and Wagyu Sukiyaki meal plans are also available. Families are welcome, with discounted child tickets and free admission for ages 6 and under.
Upon arrival, guests are guided to their seats. Before the show, you may enjoy a traditional rikishi soul food meal—such as chanko-nabe—at your table to fill your stomach and energize yourself for the show. You can also try a traditional haori at the kimono corner. Professional kimono dressing is available only with a premium upgrade. The live sumo show lasts about 50 minutes and is conducted in both Japanese and English, featuring demonstrations and explanations by former rikishi. After the show, guests can step into the dohyō for hands-on sumo training, including basic drills and a safe, friendly one-on-one bout with a wrestler. Please Note: Participation may be limited for safety. The experience concludes with a photo session in the ring. Families are welcome, with child discounts and priority for young guests during the hands-on portion.
