Meeting and pickup
Your guide will arrive in a minibus and will be wearing official crew attire.
What to expect
1. Scenic Transfer: Meet at Kaigata 4 in Tromsø for a 75-minute minibus drive through arctic mountains to our base at Lanes in Malangen.
2. Vessel and Gear-Up: Board Go’vakker Sissi (14-meter icebreaker). In the heated saloon, receive a safety briefing and gear up in a certified thermal drysuit worn over your clothes.
3. Icebreak and Float: Cruise into frozen waters as the ship breaks the ice. Step directly into the fjord to float weightlessly among ice floes for 20–30 minutes under certified guide supervision.
4. Basecamp and Return: Change into your clothes in the saloon, then enjoy fresh Norwegian waffles, hot drinks, and receive your signed Arctic Certificate at our fjord-side basecamp before the drive back to Tromsø.
