What's Included
Meeting and pickup
Meet your English-speaking guide outside the South Exit of JR Shin-Fuji Station at 9:30 AM. Your guide will be waiting with a NINOMARU sign. After meeting, travel together by private vehicle to the workshop.
What to expect
Meet your English-speaking guide at Shin-Fuji Station before traveling to the workshop. Learn the traditional art of katazome from a local member of the Fuji Katazome Group, while your guide provides English interpretation and support throughout the experience.
Choose from a selection of traditional designs and apply colors by hand using brushes to create your own textile artwork. During the finishing process, enjoy a Japanese bento lunch and green tea before completing the final rinsing and finishing steps to reveal your unique handcrafted creation.
Take your finished artwork home the same day as a meaningful souvenir from Japan. This private experience accommodates up to four participants and includes round-trip transportation, English interpretation, a Japanese bento lunch, and digital photos taken by your guide.
