We meet you in the arrivals hall at Kamuzu International (Lilongwe) or Chileka (Blantyre) with a sign showing your name. If you are staying at a hotel in Lilongwe or Blantyre, tell us its name when booking and we can collect you there instead. Please send your flight details so we can track any delays.

    Lake Malawi National Park

    After the morning drive from Lilongwe or Blantyre, check in at a lakeside lodge in Cape Maclear, inside the UNESCO-listed Lake Malawi National Park. In the afternoon, cruise by boat to Thumbi West Island to watch African fish eagles swoop for fish, then snorkel over the cichlid beds at the 'Fish Aquarium', home to hundreds of brightly coloured fish found nowhere else on earth.

    Across to Liwonde National Park

    Liwonde National Park

    After breakfast, transfer south to Liwonde National Park on the Shire River. In the afternoon, head out on a game drive for elephant, sable antelope, kudu and, with luck, black rhino, then board a boat for a safari along the Shire, passing pods of hippo, basking crocodiles and hundreds of water birds as the sun goes down.
