Embark on a full-day tour exploring Transylvania's history, authentic farm life and spectacular landscapes. Along the way you will have the chance to learn about the cultural diversity and explore some hidden gems of the region.
We will firstly visit Cârța's 13th-century Cistercian Monastery – the place where the action of movie “The Nun” is happening. Afterwards we will explore the impressive Cincu mediaval church with its 49m tower and unique altar.
Pastoring is one of the oldest activities of the Romanian population. Transylvania, through its hard-working people is still conserving the traditional sheparding. In Seliștat, you will experience an authentic sheepfold visit and taste fresh milk products.
We’ll have a short hike through Movile's unique natural mounds and learn local legends.
Before the sunset we will go on a horse-drawn carriage ride along the beautiful village Stejărișu.

1Carta Monastery
Travelers will visit the impressive 13th-century Cistercian Monastery, spending time to uncover its compelling story and learn about the Cistercian monks who founded this remote abbey in 1202.

Travelers will stop at the striking 13th-century fortified church. Inside, they will marvel at its over 49-meter high tower, the 1521 altar depicting 'Doubting Thomas,' historical epitaphs, and a Renaissance pulpit.

Travelers will deeply immerse themselves in local traditions with an authentic sheepfold experience, meeting various animals like sheep, cows, buffalo, goats, and guardian dogs. They will savor a fresh tasting of milk and a selection of delicious local cheeses like caș, urdă, and telemea directly from the source. An optional traditional rich Romanian lunch, prepared with local, fresh ingredients, is also available here.

5Stejarisu

Afterwards, they will explore the 14th-century fortified church, famous for its unique 'Bacon Tower' – a traditional storage area for bacon that still holds local produce.
