This is the full Ha Giang Loop at a relaxed pace. Over 4 days you ride pillion behind an experienced local Easy Rider - no licence or riding experience needed - so you watch the scenery, not the road. With only about four hours of riding a day, you have real time to stop, swim and meet locals instead of rushing the loop in three.
You'll ride the legendary Ma Pi Leng Pass above the turquoise Nho Que River, climb the Lung Cu Flagpole at Vietnam's northernmost point, and swim beneath the hidden Du Gia waterfall. Three nights are spent in genuine H'mong and Tay homestays with home-cooked food and campfires.
What sets us apart is our team: born-and-raised local guides who know every switchback, the safe lines in the rain, and the viewpoints other tours miss. Groups stay small (max 10), with free pickup, a free first night at our hostel, and fuel, helmet, raincoat, water and insurance included.

• FREE pickup anywhere in Ha Giang City — if you stay at another hotel in town, just send us your address and we will collect you.
• Coming from Hanoi on the included overnight sleeper bus? It arrives in Ha Giang early morning; we meet you and bring you to Ali Hostel to rest (free arrival night included).
• Please be at Ali Hostel reception by 08:00 for breakfast and the safety briefing. Departure is at 09:00.
• Look for the Ha Giang Ali Travel sign / your guide at reception.
• Bring your PASSPORT — required for the border-area permit.
Enjoy a free dorm at Ha Giang Ali Hostel before the tour. Tell your bus driver to stop at our hostel on the main road, 2 km from Ha Giang Bus Station. Walk 20–25 minutes or take a taxi. Contact us via phone or WhatsApp if you need help.

Start from Ha Giang Ali Hostel in Ha Giang City. Meet your guide and Easy Rider team, receive a short tour briefing, prepare your luggage, and begin the Ha Giang Loop journey.

2Bac Sum Pass
The journey starts with a visit to Doc Bac Sum Pass, a breathtaking route with dramatic landscapes and lush valleys, perfect for scenic photography.

3Quan Ba Heaven Gate
Next, ascend to the famed Quan Ba Heaven’s Gate, where panoramic views of the Twin Mountains and the surrounding karst formations captivate travelers.

4Lung Tam Village
Continue to the Lung Tam Flax Weaving Cooperative, where you’ll witness the meticulous process of traditional flax weaving, a cultural craft mastered by the H’mong people for centuries.

5Dinh Vua Meo
Ride the Tham Ma Pass switchbacks and visit the H'mong King's Palace (Dinh Vua Meo) in Sa Phin — a 1928 mansion blending H'mong, Chinese and French influences, once the seat of the Vuong dynasty.

6Dong Van
Arrive in Dong Van Ancient Town and check in to your homestay. Explore the century-old stone quarter at dusk, with its old market, cafes and traditional H'mong, Tay and Chinese architecture.

7Dong Van
After breakfast at the homestay, set off north from Dong Van toward Lung Cu, Vietnam's northernmost point, riding through dramatic karst scenery and remote H'mong villages.

8Lung Cu Flag Tower
Reach Lung Cu, Vietnam's northernmost point. Climb the 286 stone steps to the Lung Cu Flagpole (~1,700 m) for sweeping views over the karst plateau and across the border into China.

9Ma Pi Leng Pass
Ascend the legendary Ma Pi Leng Pass — the cliff road above the Nho Que River Gorge, the deepest canyon in Southeast Asia. Stop at the viewpoints for unforgettable panoramas.

10Tu San Canyon
Stop at the Tu San Canyon viewpoint to take in the turquoise Nho Que River winding far below between sheer limestone walls — optional boat trips and kayaking can be arranged here.

11Meo Vac
Descend into Meo Vac and check in to a homestay in Pa Vi, a H'mong cultural village. In the evening enjoy a local dinner and, if your visit falls on Sunday, the famous Meo Vac ethnic market.

12Meo Vac
After breakfast at the homestay, ride down the winding road from the Ma Pi Leng area toward the Nho Que River pier, descending from Meo Vac into the deepest canyon in Southeast Asia.

13Tu San Canyon
Stop at the Tu San Canyon viewpoint high on the Ma Pi Leng Pass and gaze down at the turquoise Nho Que River winding far below, between sheer limestone walls that rise hundreds of metres on both sides - the deepest canyon in Southeast Asia, seen from above.

14Du Gia
After lunch en route, ride south to Du Gia, a remote village tucked into a green valley far off the main tourist trail. Walk to the Du Gia Waterfall and swim in the natural pool beneath it, or cycle through the surrounding Dao and Tay hamlets and terraced fields before settling in with your host family for the most social night of the trip.

15Du Gia
After a relaxed breakfast, ride out of the Du Gia valley back toward Ha Giang through quiet highland scenery and small farming hamlets — an easy final ride along a mountain stream.

16Ha Giang
Arrive back in Ha Giang City in the afternoon — time to pick up local specialties (buckwheat honey, Shan Tuyet tea, rice wine) before boarding the overnight sleeper bus to Ha Noi (approx. 17:00–18:00), arriving around 05:00. End of program.
