What to expect

Discover the beauty and symbolism of Uzbekistan’s artistic heritage through a cultural experience that combines storytelling, exploration, and hands-on creativity. Ideal for travelers who want to go beyond classic sightseeing!

The experience begins with a guided cultural exploration of Uzbekistan’s rich craft traditions. You’ll learn how the Silk Road helped make the region a crossroads of ideas, materials, and artistic influences, giving rise to textiles, ceramics, embroidery, and other decorative arts. Along the way, you’ll discover aspects of Uzbek culture such as silk and textile production, doll-making traditions, wedding customs, household rituals, local superstitions, and the history of Suzani embroidery and Uzbek ceramics. There will also be time to browse and shop with the help of a local guide.

The highlight is a hands-on pottery masterclass, where you move from discovery into creation. After learning about Uzbek ceramics, you’ll make your own ceramic piece and experience the process firsthand, from shaping the clay to smoothing and decorating it. It’s a memorable way to connect with one of Uzbekistan’s most distinctive artistic traditions.
