Most Fayoum day trips are a long drive and a quick look at a waterfall. This one is built around the desert itself.
Your day is completely private. Only your group is on the tour, with your own guide, your own air-conditioned vehicle from your hotel, and your own 4×4 for the dunes. There are no shared buses and no waiting for strangers.
After the 90-minute drive from Cairo or Giza, you swap to a 4×4 and head into the sand. Ride over high dunes, then try sandboarding down them with the equipment and instruction provided. Then visit the Wadi El Rayan waterfalls, a green lake and waterfall system in the middle of the Sahara.
Your English-speaking guide stays with you all day, explaining the landscape, handling the logistics, and helping with photos. Entry fees, taxes, bottled water, and hotel pickup and drop-off are all included, so there is nothing extra to pay on the day.
It suits couples, families, and friends who want a day of real adventure outside Cairo.

Your private guide meets you at your hotel in Cairo or Giza around 7:00 AM and introduces the day’s plan. Settle into your private air-conditioned vehicle for the drive south to the Fayoum region. Use the 90-minute ride to ask your guide about the landscape, or just watch the city give way to open desert.

1Al Fayyum
Arrive in the Fayoum region, one of Egypt’s oldest and greenest oases. Your guide briefs you on the plan and safety basics, then you switch to your private 4×4 desert vehicle for the off-road part of the day.

2Wadi Rum Protected Area
Explore Wadi El Rayan, a protected desert reserve known for its lakes and waterfalls in the middle of the Sahara. Walk to the waterfalls, take photos of the contrast between water and dunes, and learn from your guide how this area was formed and why it is protected.

3Wadi El-Rayan
Climb into your private 4×4 for a dune-bashing drive over the high sand dunes. Your driver takes you over the crests and down the slopes, with stops for photos and views across the desert.
