    Jangtaesan Recreational Forest features a dense canopy of ginkgo and bald cypress trees. The lush valleys nearby provide an ideal escape during summer vacations, while Yongtaeul Reservoir at the entrance offers stunning views. Within the natural recreation forest, visitors can enjoy a variety of facilities, including walking paths, fitness areas, a botanical garden, and barefoot walking trails.

    Hanbat Arboretum, connected to the Government Complex-Daejeon and Science Park, is the largest man-made urban arboretum in Korea. It serves various functions: as a repository of genetically diverse plants, an eco-learning center for students, and a tranquil space for relaxation amidst nature. Spanning 387,000 square meters, the arboretum is divided into three sections. The West Garden and Nammun Square opened on April 28, 2005, while the East Garden, which features 19 uniquely themed parks—including the Magnolia Garden, Medicinal Herbs Garden, Rock Garden, and Fruit Garden—opened on May 9, 2009.
