From Quebec City, take Highway 40 / 440 - E and exit at ILE D'ORLEANS Cross the bridge and head straight on PREVOST STREET The rental shop is situated at the MOTEL ILE D'ORLEANS Without own car, simply take a taxi; it's a 15 minutes drive from Old Qebec

What to expect

Explore Île d’Orléans on a tandem bike and enjoy a fun and active experience for two. Pick up your bike at Quebec Aventure Tours and receive a safety briefing and bike adjustment before heading out.

You’ll be provided with a suggested 24 km loop toward Sainte-Pétronille, but you are free to ride at your own rhythm and create your own itinerary. Cycle through villages, farmland and scenic viewpoints overlooking the St. Lawrence River, stopping whenever you like for photos and local discoveries. Tastings are available along the way but are not included.

Île d’Orléans has no bike lanes; riding is done on the paved shoulder of the road. Please arrive 20 minutes before your rental time and dress appropriately for the weather.

  • Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
  • Please book ONE tandem bike for TWO people; prices shown are for two people on the same tandem bike.
  • Please make sure you dress appropriately for this activity: windbreaker, closed shoes, scarf and gloves, especially in spring and fall
  • Cycling bag or small backpack for your personal belongings or additional shopping available on-site for five CAD
  • Although the Ile d'Orleans is known to be a cyclists' paradise, there is no bike path on the island; you'll ride on the road's large and secure shoulder
  • Tandem bikes are the perfect option for safe cycling with a child of 6 years and older
