Our Corfu Food Tour is a walking tour in small groups around the old town. The tourist is guided by a Local Expert able to explain every detail of the selected restaurants, their preparations, and the relevant history/curiosities. Our tours are a mix of high-quality gastronomy as a way of showing Corfu culture and lifestyle and a walking experience together with a local friend. Have a full meal in at least 4 stops: you will get the chance to try some of the most iconic Corfu dishes, such as Pastisada, Spanakopita, Loukoumades Milk Pudding, and of course, Kumqat!
We meet by the Statue of Count Von Der Schulenburg, outside the Old Fortress.
Taste the Kumqat! A symbol of Corfu, this little fruit is used to make liqueurs, sweets, and preserves. Its unique sweet and slightly bitter flavor reflects the island’s distinctive culinary identity.
Greek Cream Pudding: a hidden gem of the island, a simple product that showcases the strenght of the traditional homemade recipes and the quality of the local ingredients.
Tiropita and Spanakopita: these traditional Greek pies are staples of local cuisine. Tiropita is filled with creamy cheese, while spanakopita combines spinach, feta, and herbs, all wrapped in crispy phyllo pastry.
Olive Tasting: a taste of different Greek extra virgin olive oils, each with its own distinctive character.
Pastitsada and/or Sofrito: try Corfu’s most iconic dishes, greek specialties deeply influenced by the Venetian conquest. To quench your thirst, drink a glass of local wine or strong Ouzo liquor.
Loukoumades: a traditional dessert made with fried dough and honey. Its name means “dripping with honey,” perfectly describing its rich and indulgent flavor.
