5 minutes walk from Miyajima Ferry Terminal, inside Tokuju-ji Temple. 1.From Miyajima Ferry Terminal, walk straight into the street next to LAWSON. 2.Turn left at the end of the tunnel. 3.Turn left at Momiji Gas (もみじガス) and walk straight. 4.You will see 徳寿寺(曹洞宗 金光山 徳寿寺) at the end of the road.

What to expect

Craft your own one-of-a-kind Japanese Japanese lucky charm (Omamori) at a historic 300-year-old Zen temple on Miyajima Island. Create a personalized keepsake using authentic upcycled kimono fabrics and local traditional crafts.

・Choose Your Materials: Select your favorite charm bag made from beautiful upcycled kimono fabrics, along with a matching braided cordjyo.

・Write Your Wish: Write or stamp your personal wish onto a mini wooden rice scoop (Shamoji)—Miyajima’s famous local symbol of good luck.

・Assemble Your Charm: Place your wish inside the kimono charm bag and tie it together to complete your very own handmade Omamori to take home.

・Temple Experience: Enjoy the peaceful, nature-surrounded atmosphere of Tokuju-ji Temple away from the crowded tourist areas, and learn basic Japanese temple etiquette from our friendly team.
