Full day tour from Santiago to Cajon del Maipo with roundtrip transfer and bilingual guide.

The tour includes a hike to Laguna del Encañado, a historic refuge at 2,600 meters high surrounded by native vegetation. Binoculars and monoculars are available along the way to observe the Meson Alto Glacier. The area is home to condors, piuquenes, taguas and Andean ducks. Upon arrival, an outdoor brunch awaits you with panoramic views of the Andes.

Return, visit Casa Chocolate, a unique place in Cajon del Maipo with fantasy architecture and handcrafted products. The closure is in Plaza San José de Maipo, founded in 1792 and declared a Historical Monument of Chile.

It operates all year round. In winter season (15 June to 13 September) the hike includes snowshoes and trekking poles.

    San José de Maipo was founded as a village in 1792 by order of Ambrosio O'Higgins, Governor of Chile and future Viceroy of Peru. Its main attraction is the Parish San José de Maipo, built in 1854 and declared a National Monument for its historical and architectural value. The square and its surroundings retain the character of an Andean village that characterizes it since its foundation.
