This immersive experience explores the cultural and natural roots of the Atlantic rainforest in the region of Iguazú. The journey includes a visit to a Guaraní community to learn about their traditions and connection with the forest, a stop at the Güira Oga Wildlife Rescue Center to discover local wildlife conservation efforts, and a visit to a traditional yerba mate plantation to understand the history and cultural importance of this iconic drink. The experience also features the San Ignacio Miní Ruins, highlighting the historic encounter between Jesuit missionaries and the Guaraní people. Together, these visits provide a meaningful introduction to the region’s culture, history, and natural heritage.

At approximately 8:00 am, pick-up from your hotel begins with a visit to the Yasy Porã Guaraní Community, where members of the Mbya Guaraní community welcome guests and share their worldview, traditions, language, social organization, medicinal plants, handicrafts, and connection with nature during a guided interpretive walk. Continue to a local restaurant for a regional lunch featuring flavors of Misiones. Then, visit the Güirá Oga Wildlife Rescue Centre to learn about the protection and rehabilitation of native birds, reptiles, and mammals. The day concludes with a cultural mate experience, covering the history of yerba mate, its elements, preparation, social meaning, customs, and differences between mate, mate cocido, and tereré. Participants will prepare and share their first mate.
At approximately 8:00 am, pick-up from your hotel begins a journey through the cultural, historical, and natural highlights of Misiones. Visit the San Ignacio Miní Ruins, part of the Jesuit–Guaraní Missions UNESCO World Heritage Site, and learn about the Jesuit reductions and their relationship with the Guaraní people. Continue to a traditional yerba mate plantation to discover the production process, from harvesting to drying, and enjoy a tasting while learning about its importance in regional culture. Stop in Jardín América for a break and lunch before continuing to the Wanda Mines. Explore the mining site, learn about the geological origin of its semi-precious stones, and observe formations of amethysts, agates, and quartz.
