Traditional Flemish brunch in old brown bar

2 hours (approximately)

A traditional brunch like this has gone out of style a bit which I think is a real shame. Most places have adapted a more international or even American style with their breakfasts and brunches till the point that it's the same breakfast as in any other country.

My goal is to bring the local stuff back. Make it Belgian and authentic again, like I know from my childhood.

So if you'd like to try the local stuff and go authentic, then come and join us.

What to expect

When I was growing up, Sundays meant lunch at my grandmother’s house. It was simple, hearty, and brought everyone together. I’ve recreated that feeling here at Het Souke, my traditional Antwerp bar. I invite you to join us for a genuine Flemish brunch in a setting where time has stood still.

What to Expect

This is a relaxed, all-you-can-eat buffet focused on quality local ingredients. No fuss, just good food in a cozy setting where time has stood still.

The Spread: A variety of fresh breads, like Roggeverdommeke (The famous raisin rye bread) and pastries, regional cheeses, and fine meats.
Warm Specialties: You’ll find traditional Antwerp dishes like meatballs with cherries and black sausage with apple sauce.
Drinks: Your first coffee and orange juice are included. If you’re in the mood for something extra, we have sparkling wine and an extensive selection of local Belgian beers and spirits available.

The Atmosphere

Het Souke is small, authentic, and unpretentious. A real, typical Belgian "brown bar" of which only a few remain.

Join us this Sunday. I’ll be here to welcome you and make sure you leave with a full stomach and a true sense of our local culture.

See you then!
